Packaging Redesign
Graphic Design IV, Spring 2025
This packaging redesign focuses on creating a more sustainable packaging solution for Cuties while incorporating a supporting sustainability campaign. A primary aspect of this work was on materials, how they were created, and how they would be disposed of.

Unsustainable plastics were swapped for alternative materials, such as a durable and easily recyclable FSC Certified paper and beechwood pulp mesh, which is easily home compostable. Both materials replace previously non-recyclable plastic elements. The printing is done in a single color, which is considered a more sustainable option. The packaging is sewn closed and incorporates an easy-tear opening for accessibility.

Campaign
A microsite available by QR code on the packaging expands on previous Cuties campaigns which focus on educating children and connecting them to where their food comes from. It gives instructions on children’s crafts using the beechwood mesh and teaches them how to properly compost the mesh.
